fav quarantine bops

umm so even though quarantine is lifting a little most of us are still stuck at home so i'd like to share a couple of my fav mixes to help pass the time. i tend to use these while doing chores and boring projects and it really helps make it more enjoyable. for me they give off really soft vibes and they're generally super relaxing. if you're not into this genre just go ahead and skip :)

ultimately - khai dreams

this song is one of my favourites because it's so fast paced but chill at the same time. its message is so positive and the voice sounds like a softer version of alec benjamin (??) i fall asleep to this a lot so would recommend as general night music!

coffee breath - sofia mills 

i don't like this one as much but the tune is pretty nice. i added it to the list because it makes me feel accompanied, but the reason it's not my personal favourite is because i don't like the lyrics. they sound kinda off with the softish melody and it's really off putting

don't play your card - mxmtoon

for starters, mxmtoon is my favourite artist. she's incredibly creative with her songs and was a huge inspiration. she was the reason i learned to play my ukelele and write my own songs. secondly, the song is - pardon my french, tres beau. most people who write songs about cheating & breakups make it sound depressing (eg: someone you loved by lewis capaldi). the words initially hit pretty hard but the tune makes it all better, like something you'd vibe to at a sleepover.

i will be okay - hi i'm mimi

similar to don't play your card, mimi is creative with her og songs and isn't your typical "omg omg i love you so much" songwriter. unlike mxmtoon, she balances out the tune with a little bit of that heartache found in your typical breakup songs, but it also gives off that chill happy vibe you get from mxmtoon.

im sorry - swell [ft. shiloh]

this song is pretty simple. it has a mild rhythm, and the lyrics all sound relatively similar. if you listen a little harder the lyrics actually hit pretty hard, but i won't spoil that for you c;

pastel pink - crisaunt

this song is downright - dare i say, aesthetic. the voice is calm and relaxed, much like khai dreams in ultimately. the melody is composed & easygoing. i also listen to this a lot for sleep music along with ultimately and definitely helps me sleep!
